Half a million US dollars for start-up by ex-N26 managers

Physiotherapy for the home - that is the mission of the Berlin start-up Exakt Health. The money it has now raised will be used to launch the app.

More and more apps are seeking certification from the Directory of Digital Health Applications (DiGA) in order to be prescribed by prescription. The start-up Exakt Health also wants to achieve this and has now raised half a million US dollars in its first round of financing.

The two founders Philip Billaudelle and Lucia Payo were both once managers at the neobank N26 - and are clearly benefiting from their good contacts. In addition to the business angels collective Inventures, investors include N26 founder Maximilian Tayenthal as well as former head of marketing Kelly Ford and former head of the USA Nicolas Kopp. Cornelia Hoppe from the management consultancy Done Berlin and Gloria Bauerlein, who was Head of Strategy at the telemedicine start-up Kry, are also participating as business angels.

"Our mission with Exakt Health is to make medically tested and individualized physiotherapy accessible to everyone via an app - anytime and from anywhere," says Billaudelle, describing Exakt Health's mission. First, the user can carry out a self-diagnosis in the app, then a rehabilitation plan is created. The Berlin-based start-up works closely with physiotherapists, initially focusing on sports injuries.

The app is set to launch in May and the founders want to use the money raised to launch and build up the team.
