Sympatient raises 7.5 million euros
The start-up has thus completed its Series A financing round. The company's focus is on mental health.
The Hamburg-based start-up Sympatient has completed its Series A financing round, raising a total of 7.5 million euros from investors. Existing investors, the main investor Verve Ventures and two new business angels have invested. The money will now be used to develop the company's own offering.
The start-up has focused on finding solutions in the field of mental health. For example, the "Invirto" program published in 2020 should be able to carry out psychotherapy digitally to some extent. Phobias and panic disorders can be treated from the comfort of your own sofa. The program can be regularly prescribed by doctors.
"We are grateful for the trust our investors have placed in us with this financing round," says Christian Angern, co-founder and CEO of Sympatient. "With the establishment of a Digital Anxiety Clinic, we now want to expand our specialization and cover the entire treatment pathway for anxiety disorders - from diagnosis to therapy and aftercare."
Sympatient originally emerged from a scientific study conducted by the UKSH. The founders in 2017 were Christian Angern, Julian Angern and Benedikt Reinke. Their main product to date is Invirto, with further offerings to be added in the future. More than 50 employees already work for the company.
