The founders met at the company builder Entrepreneur First and have been working on the idea for Airbank since September last year. They founded the start-up in March.

Founded in March of this year, the start-up Airbank has now announced the conclusion of a financing round of 2.5 million euros. The round is led by the new London-based investor New Wave, with Speedinvest and Calm/Storm Ventures, TinyVC from San Francisco and the early investor AnotherVC also participating. Business angels such as Nicolas Julia, founder of Sorare, and Hometogo CEO Patrick Andrae and CFO Steven Lutz are also involved.

According to the company, Airbank supports start-ups and small companies in monitoring their finances in real time and thus in the precise planning of capital and forecasting. The Berlin-based company's software is currently still in the beta phase and is being tested by companies and customers; from July, Airbank's services will be available to everyone. The founders are Christopher Zemina, formerly employed at Speedinvest, and Patrick de Castro Neuhaus. Both were at the company builder Entrepreneur First. In the case of Airbank, this worked: Today, the start-up has 13 team members and can use the money raised to invest in the expansion of its software.
