Andreas Hoerning becomes new CEO at Westwing

The current Managing Director and founder Stefan Smalla will move into an advisory role.
From July 1, 2022, Andreas Hoerning, currently Chief Commercial Officer, will take over as CEO of the online furniture store Westwing. After eleven years, the current Managing Director and founder of Westwing Stefan Smalla will leave the Management Board by mutual agreement. However, Smalla will continue to support the company in an advisory capacity.
Hoerning now wants to take the company to a new level. "To do this, we will focus even more than before on the customer experience and our brand. We will invest more in our fantastic, very profitable and sustainable Westwing Collection," says the future CEO.
Hoerning has already been with Westwing for seven years. He has built up the Westwing Collection with a gross merchandise volume, i.e. the total sales value of goods, of more than 200 million euros, which today accounts for around 37 percent of sales and more than 50 percent of profits. Before Hoerning took up his position at Westwing, he was a project manager at the Boston Consulting Group.
