Berlin start-up incubator awaits applications

The University of Economics and Law in the German capital awards two different scholarships. Founders can receive up to 54,000 euros in funding.
The Startup Incubator Berlin (SIB) at the Berlin School of Economics and Law (HWR Berlin) supports young companies with two start-up scholarships: The Berlin Startup Scholarship and the React Startup Scholarship, which is aimed at the healthcare industry. Applicants can now apply online and receive up to 54,000 euros in funding.
The HWR wants to support founders in the development of business concepts and prototypes until they are ready for the market. New financial support will be available from June 2022. The Incubator also offers a number of other services: Coworking, coaching, fully equipped workshops and labs. The start-ups will also have access to the SIB network as part of Berlin's start-up ecosystem.
For six months, the Berlin Startup Scholarship provides 2,000 euros per person per month. The money comes from the European Social Fund (ESF) and the state of Berlin. The React Startup Scholarship is financed from the same funds in cooperation with the Berlin University of Applied Sciences (BHT). This is aimed specifically at start-ups in the healthcare industry. Here, founders receive funding for nine months.
