Climatiq receives two million US dollars

The Berlin-based start-up announces the successful completion of its financing round. Cherry Ventures was one of the investors.
The Berlin-based start-up Climatiq has raised two million US dollars in its pre-seed financing round. The early-stage investor Cherry Ventures led the round. Several business angels also gave money, including the family office of Indeed founder Paul Forster and Jens Lapinski from Angel Invest.
Climatiq offers a data infrastructure designed to enable organizations and developers to develop new climate-friendly applications. This includes an open database for emission factors. Anyone who links this with other software can then see the impact of their business on the climate. Companies can use it to calculate their CO2 footprint precisely and monitor emissions in real time.
"We are delighted to be working with investors who share our vision of empowering everyone to tackle the climate crisis," says co-founder and CEO Hessam Lavi. There are still ten years left to curb global warming. The start-up wants to use the money it has now raised to expand its open database and make it more useful for developers and organizations.
