Coboworx receives 4.5 million euros

The robotics start-up has completed a seed financing round. The money comes from Picus Capital, among others.
Picus Capital, Alexander Samwer's investment company, and the technology holding company Team Global are leading a financing round for Coboworx. The start-up was thus able to raise 4.5 million euros, as the Handelsblatt reported. According to the report, Paua Ventures and business angels such as Rubin Ritter from Zalando and Florian Huber from website domain provider united-domains also participated.
Coboworx was founded in 2019. The start-up aims to help small and medium-sized companies with automation and relies on cobots and lightweight robots to support employees. To this end, it develops ready-made robotic cells that are easy to install. The start-up promises on its website that companies will receive an initial analysis of whether robots could help within two working days of their request. "In ten years, a robot will be what a smartphone is today," says co-founder Olaf Gehrels to Handelsblatt.
