Digital business card startup Spreadly takes over competitor Clinck

Spreadly has acquired its long-standing competitor Clinck to strengthen its position in the market for digital business cards. The takeover will be funded from its own resources, while Clinck will not be continued as a brand.
The startup Spreadly, founded in September 2022 by Darius Göttert and Florian Theimer, has announced that it will acquire its competitor Clinck. Clinck, one of the first companies to launch digital business card solutions on the market in 2013, has since built up a user base of over 80,000 people.
Financing from own funds
The acquisition is being carried out 100% by Spreadly and will be financed from the company's own funds. The exact purchase price was not disclosed. The Clinck brand will not be continued after the takeover. The app and users will be taken over by Spreadly.
This acquisition marks a step towards consolidation in the market for digital business cards. In recent years, there have been a large number of providers in this field, including companies such as Spreadly, Lemontaps, MyTaag, Wazzl and OneVcard. Spreadly stands out due to its strong growth.
More and more companies are turning to digital business cards as a sustainable and efficient way of exchanging contacts. The acquisition of Clinck by Spreadly underlines this development and shows the increased interest in digital solutions.
Financing round planned
The acquisition of Clinck by Spreadly is a significant step and underlines Spreadly's ambition to establish a strong position in the digital business card market. Further details on Spreadly's current financing round are expected in early September.
