Elona Health secures six-figure investment

The company has set itself the task of digitizing psychotherapy. According to a media report, it has now convinced several investors in a financing round.

The Düsseldorf-based start-up Elona Health has received a high six-figure sum as part of a pre-seed round. Investors included the founder of intranet software company Coyo, Jan Marius Marquardt, and NRW.Bank, according to the online edition of the newspaper Rheinische Post reported. The young company wants to use an app to make psychotherapy more digital.

The company's next big goal is to obtain approval as a digital health application. As soon as this is achieved, the use of the app could be billed via health insurance. The company is working towards this being possible next year.

The Elona Health app is intended to be used alongside therapy. Psychotherapists can adapt it to the patient. The aim is to record what mood patients are in on different days. Users can also note down questions that are then discussed during therapy or repeat exercises from the therapy session. The company is working on a study together with Düsseldorf's Heinrich Heine University and the Robert Enke Foundation.

Elona Health was founded in spring 2021. The brains behind the start-up are Magnus Schückes, Johanna von Lobenstein, Alexander Braden, Leon Hillebrandt and Peter Neudeck.
