Enviria and Galileo establish joint venture

With the joint venture, they want to drive forward the expansion of solar energy in Germany. To this end, they want to develop ground-mounted solar power plants throughout Germany.
The development and investment platform Galileo is founding a joint venture with the German solar start-up Enviria under the name Galileo Enviria Solar GmbH. The aim of the joint venture is to drive forward the expansion of solar energy in Germany with its own ground-mounted solar power plants. The aim is to build a whole series of solar power plants in the multi-gigawatt range within the next five years.
The market for this appears to be there, as the German government's development targets require each country to expand its solar capacity to an average of around 20 gigawatts. According to the new joint venture, 25 employees are now working on adding around 1,000 megawatts of solar power projects to their pipeline every year.
The pan-European and cross-technology development and investment platform Galileo was founded in 2020 and has set itself the goal of contributing to the energy transition in Europe. Galileo operates a pipeline with around six gigawatts of renewable energy capacity in seven countries. Enviria, on the other hand, was founded in 2017 and says it has developed more than 100 projects with an installed capacity of over 50 megawatts to date.
