Exclusive: Benjamin Hoskins to be Billie's new chief technology officer

Hoskins most recently held a leading position at Wayfair. With him, Billie is now preparing for the upcoming internationalization.

Billie has expanded its management team and appointed Benjamin Hoskins as Head of Technology. In this position, he will drive the fintech's international growth. Hoskins already has a wealth of experience in the technology sector. Most recently, Hoskins was responsible for the technology of the supplier offering of the online household goods retailer Wayfair. Prior to that, he spent four years as Head of Technology and CPO at dating app provider Spark Networks. From 2012 to 2015, he built up Ebay's European development team as European Head of Development.

"His many years of experience in scaling engineering and product teams internationally in phases of extreme growth and developing complex digital offerings in a customer-centric way is exactly what we need at Billie in our next phase," says Billie co-founder and co-CEO Matthias Knecht about Hoskins. At the end of 2021, the fintech raised 100 million US dollars and announced a partnership with Klarna. With the help of the partnership and the funding, the company is now set to succeed in its internationalization.

Christian Grobe, Matthias Knecht and Aiga Senftleben founded Billie in 2016. The company offers the "buy now, pay later" payment method for business customers and other digital payment services.
