Exclusive: Crafting Future closes seed round

With a new partnership behind it, the Hanover-based start-up Crafting Future has raised six-figure seed funding. The company from Lower Saxony wants to use this to launch its reusable products on the market throughout Europe in the long term.
The recycling start-up Crafting Future has raised a six-figure sum in venture capital. The Hanover-based company has thus successfully completed its seed financing round. The money comes mainly from the Angelgate Investors Club. Its members Michael Schnickmann, Helmut Deschauer, Jochen Berger and Jürgen Jaron are investing, as is investor Gwendolyn Schröter from Golzern Holding.
"We are delighted to have such experienced and active support on our way to becoming a leading provider of well thought-out and, above all, measurably sustainable reusable products in Europe," says Can Lewandowski, one of the founders of Crafting Future.
The start-up manufactures products made from plastic waste, such as reusable bowls and reusable cups for the take-away business of restaurants. The founders - Lennart Heyner and Jan Patzer in addition to Lewandowski - want to reduce environmental pollution and waste production. Since its foundation in 2020, Crafting Future has already concluded several major collaborations, most recently with Recup, which claims to be Germany's largest deposit system for take-away utensils. Crafting Future produces the "Rebowl", a reusable bowl, for Recup.
"The fact that we have already become a supplier to the largest and most established reusable deposit system in Germany barely a year after our first strategic meeting shows me the passion and determination with which the founders and their team work," said investor Michael Schnickmann.
