Lade collects seven-figure sum

Lade supplies charging stations, cloud software for charging park operators and an app for drivers of electric cars. The start-up now wants to use the funding to conquer the market for charging infrastructure.

The electric mobility start-up Lade has raised a seven-figure sum in a seed financing round. The exact amount of the funding is not known, but the money comes from Orgentec Holding. The start-up from Mainz intends to use the capital to grow further and enter the charging infrastructure market next year. The first tests of the charging station should be completed by spring.

"For e-mobility to work, we need more and better charging infrastructure. We have the solution for this - and now also the financial means to bring it to market. This investment also represents enormous confidence in our vision and our technology," says Charging CEO and founder Dennis Schulmeyer.

Schulmeyer, an electrical engineer and IT entrepreneur, founded Lade in Mainz in 2020. The start-up has developed a system for setting up, operating and using charging infrastructure. Lade provides the charging stations, cloud software for charging park operators and an app for users who want to charge their electric car. The offering is aimed at parking companies, retailers, local authorities, the hospitality industry, companies from the energy sector and private individuals.
