Millions of euros for Peregrine Technologies

After the pre-seed round at the beginning of 2020, the seed round has now followed: the Berlin start-up has raised a seven-figure sum.
Naja von Schmude, Jorit Schmelzle and Steffen Heinrich only founded the start-up Peregrine Technologies in 2019 and have now raised a seven-figure sum. Vektor Partners, which was already involved in the pre-seed round last year, and Brandenburg Kapital, which is part of the Brandenburg development bank ILB, participated in the seed round.
CEO Steffen Heinrich explains what the money will be used for: "Now we can expand the reach of our smart camera network and offer fleet operators around the world a visual risk assessment to make traffic safer and logistics more efficient."
Peregrine Technologies makes it possible to map the surroundings of vehicles with the help of AI. This helps to prevent traffic accidents and reduce fuel consumption, for example. The service is used by insurers, fleet operators and individual drivers.
"It will be exciting to see how Peregrine plays a role here and creates innovative new products with real added value for fleet owners and operators," explains Bernd Gottschalk from Vekor Partners. Brandenburg Kapital also has high hopes for the start-up: "We have invested in Peregrine because its solution addresses one of the biggest future challenges in the mobility sector," says Katja Kühnel.
