Moonfare launches in the USA

The platform also breaks the 1.5 billion US dollar mark that customers have invested via the platform.

The Berlin-based start-up Moonfare is expanding its activities to the USA. Moonfare offers individual investors and their advisors access to private equity investment opportunities that would otherwise not be readily available. As recently as November 2021, the company raised 125 million US dollars in a Series C round.

And there is another reason for Moonfare to be happy: the company has gained more than 2,200 customers who have already invested more than 1.5 billion US dollars via the platform. The company offers investments in funds from KKR, The Carlyle Group, IVP and Khosla Ventures, for example. In the USA, customers will be able to make investments from a stake of 125,000 US dollars.

"We are excited to expand our global footprint and are proud to be one of the few European fintechs to expand into the US," said Steffen Pauls, founder of Moonfare and former KKR Managing Director. "As customer behavior continues to evolve towards direct digital solutions, we see great growth potential for the platform with its easy and digital access to private markets."

To date, Moonfare has offered 45 private market funds. The focus is on private equity buyouts, US tech funds and real estate categories. Moonfare is headquartered in Berlin and operates in 18 countries in Europe, Asia and the Americas. The company has offices in New York, Hong Kong, London and Luxembourg. Further offices are to be opened shortly.
