Nina Rimbach becomes Managing Director of Zoo.de

There are several new additions at Zoo.de. These include two familiar faces from the pet food industry.
Nina Rimbach is the new Managing Director of Zoo.de. She previously headed up the Green Petfood department at foodforplanet. "My task will be to develop the topic of sustainability as the core brand of Zoo.de into a successful business model," says Rimbach. The founder and previous Managing Director Axel Oertel is now moving to the Advisory Board.
There are other new additions to the Advisory Board. In future, Klaus Wagner, the long-standing Managing Director of Josera Petfood, and Marc Klages will advise the start-up. Among other things, Wagner helped to establish the sustainable pet food brands EatSmall and VegDog. As Managing Director of Ventr, Klages has experience in the development of digital platforms.
The Zoo.de platform rates products for dogs and cats according to their sustainability. The more climate-friendly, animal welfare-oriented and less packaging a product is, the better its rating on Zoo.de. Following the change in personnel, the start-up now wants to grow in the pet food market. "We will become a kind of consumer advice center or product test foundation for all questions relating to sustainable pet care," says Wagner.
