Omio and Kayak launch partnership in Europe

The two travel providers are joining forces to offer customers even more choice when booking.

Since Wednesday, users of Kayak's travel search engine have been able to access Omio's range of thousands of bus and train connections in Europe directly. The US company Kayak and the Berlin-based start-up have entered into a partnership for this purpose. It currently covers seven countries and also applies to the sites Momondo, Swoodoo, Checkfelix, Mundi and HotelsCombined, which also belong to Kayak.

Through their cooperation, the two companies want to respond to changing customer needs as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. On the one hand, there will be a travel catch-up effect, while on the other, many customers are now focusing on safety and sustainability needs. "We see that consumers need more flexibility and choice, especially now, when they are thinking about their next trip," says Julian Persaud, COO at Omio.
