Optalio completes seed financing

Just seven months after the first financing round, the Eschborn-based company has raised a further investment of 175,000 euros.
In February it was 100,000 euros, now another 175,000 euros have been added: the start-up Optalio has thus completed its seed financing round and is valued at 3.5 million euros. At the beginning of the year, the valuation was still at 200,000 euros. The Eschborn-based company intends to use the money to further develop its products. The money comes from an undisclosed investment company.
Optalio supports small and medium-sized companies in the development of a data strategy for process and production optimization in the manufacturing industry. "We are delighted with the trust that investors have placed in us," says co-founder Alexander Brehm. "Big data analytics and a holistic data strategy are basic requirements for German SMEs to remain competitive in the international environment. This is exactly where we want to support SMEs in Germany with our tools," says Brehm, explaining Optalio's business concept. The Eschborn-based company promises to save its customers resources and make production more efficient.
The start-up is currently also holding a series of events for companies to find out more about big data and how the data collected in the company can be put to good use. The title of the series is "Data - the hidden treasure of German SMEs", with the first event taking place in Frankfurt am Main on September 30. Others will follow in October and March.
