Re:cap receives 100 million euros in seed round

At the same time, the young start-up is launching its first product, a financing platform.
The Berlin-based technology company Re:cap has successfully completed a seed financing round. The company was able to land 100 million euros in a combination of debt and equity. The investors involved were Felix Capital and Project A Ventures. Existing investor Entrée Capital also contributed capital. The new funds will be used to expand the team and the company's product. In the coming months, Re:cap intends to open up its offering to other business segments, offer additional features and tap into new European markets.
The team has built up the company and the platform in just a few months. Re:cap's first product is now being launched: a financing platform designed to enable companies with recurring revenues (ARR) to increase their growth - without dilution or taking on debt. It works like this: Companies should be able to convert up to 50 percent of their ARR into immediate, non-dilutive upfront payments. At the same time, institutional investors will be able to invest directly in the recurring revenues of software companies for the first time.
Re:cap only raised 1.25 million euros in a pre-seed financing round in May. The company used the money to expand its team to 15 employees, including former executives from Google, Solarisbank, N26 and NIBC, and to bring its product to market maturity. Joseph Pizzolato from Felix Capital is impressed: "The speed of execution of Re:cap in the first few months since it was founded is enormous."
