Sidecaps raises €1.8 million
In their seed financing round, the Hanseatic company raised 1.8 million euros from investors and business angels. Sidecaps intends to use this to further develop its platform.
Sidecaps successfully closes its seed financing round and raises 1.8 million euros from investors and business angels. The money will be used to further develop the Sidecaps platform and comes from High-Tech Gründerfonds, Innovationsstarter Fonds Hamburg GmbH (IFH) and Börsego AG. Investor Benedikt Beßmann and other strategic investors and business angels are also involved, according to the fintech.
"Our approach significantly reduces the market influence of large orders and, in conjunction with fair pricing, lowers transaction costs," explains Frank Biller, one of the three founders of the fintech alongside Julius Krieg and Gerhard Weiß. Sidecaps has developed an information and transaction platform for share trading on which sellers and buyers are intelligently brought together and trading interests are not visible.
"The financial sector in Hamburg has an exceptionally long tradition and is a driving force in the city," says Hamburg's Senator for Economics and Innovation Michael Westhagemann. "I am confident that SideCaps will make an important contribution to the digitalization of the financial sector."
