Sistems joins Ampeers Energy

Both companies want to make the energy supply of real estate climate-neutral. The cooperation should make it possible to reduce CO2 emissions from buildings by over 90 percent.
Ampeers Energy has received a double-digit million amount in its current financing round. In addition to the Austrian Bundesimmobiliengesellschaft (BIG), Sistems is joining the start-up as a strategic investor. The company is also active in the field of sustainable real estate refurbishment.
The cooperation between the two companies combines Ampeers Energy's software solutions for energy management with Sistems' system technology components, such as PV systems, heat pumps and charging infrastructure. "Ultimately, we are creating an offering that combines climate neutrality for real estate with a profitable business model," says Karsten Schmidt, CEO and founder of Ampeers Energy. He founded the Fraunhofer spin-off in 2019 together with Gerrit Ellerwald and Tobias Müller.
The start-up intends to use the new capital to expand its workforce and further develop its offering. For example, a CO2 monitoring system is currently being prepared that will make it possible to prioritize decarbonization measures and implement ESG-compliant CO2 reporting.
