Startup Champs honors up-and-coming company of the year
Deepeye Medical wins the final of this year's pitch competition. Startup Fimo Health receives the title Startup Champ 2023 for the Cologne region. Digital health is the focus of the event.
Deepeye Medical from Munich has beaten the competition in the final of the national Startup Champs pitch competition. The competition, which was organized for the fourth time by the startup hotspots Munich, Cologne, Berlin and Hamburg, selected the most innovative young company in Germany. This year's event focused on start-ups from the digital health sector.
Fimo Health and its app for tracking chronic diseases won the regional decision for Cologne. UniWearables' cloud patient data systems and IOT hardware won over the Berlin participants. Startup Dpv came out on top with its innovative mini ECG.
Visibility for founders
Startup Champs is a pitch competition in which young companies from all over Germany have the opportunity to present their product. The competition is organized by the startup strongholds of Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne and Munich. Berlin Partner, Hamburg Invest, Köln Business, Munich Startup and Werk1 have been organizing the Startup Champs since 2020. The competition took place for the fourth time and focused on digital health this year.

The participating startups have the chance to win various prizes, including support for international trade fair appearances, exclusive access to networking events and consultations or workshops. In addition, all twelve finalists will receive participation, including a joint stand, at the startup conference Bits & Pretzels Health Tech in Munich. The competition took place online in the first two years due to the coronavirus pandemic, while the 2023 final was held as a live event in Munich after being held in Hamburg last year.
