The Berlin start-up has been able to recruit two experienced experts.

Nicky Wrightson and Blanca Garcia Gil are now part of the team at Berlin start-up Topi. Both previously worked for companies such as the BBC, the Financial Times and J.P. Morgan.

Wrightson will be Head of Engineering and is an expert in microservice architectures. This involves splitting applications into many individual components. Thanks to such a modular structure, they remain functional if a part or a development team is replaced. Gil, who is also an expert in microservices, is to head up and further expand the data analytics division.

Companies can use Topi's platform to borrow electronic devices instead of buying them for their employees. This would save companies time in managing devices. According to the start-up, the concept would also drive the transition to a circular economy. The start-up led by its founders Estelle Merle and Charlotte Pallua only raised 45 million US dollars at the end of August.

"We are thrilled that two more high-ranking engineers have decided to join our outstanding engineering team," says co-founder Pallua. Since its launch last year, Topi says it has grown to 35 employees.
