Flowstep receives 2.6 million US dollars in seed funding

The Estonian startup Flowstep, developer of an AI-supported design platform for product teams, has closed a seed financing round of 2.6 million US dollars. The round was led by London-based investor Supernode Global. Other participants include Adesso Ventures, Angel Invest, Dnipro VC, Iron Wolf Capital and business angels such as Anton Borzov (former WhatsApp designer).
With the new capital, Flowstep has raised total funding of 4.5 million US dollars and intends to take the product out of the beta phase and into a global rollout. The focus is particularly on enterprise functions and growth in the USA.
Vibe design instead of pure code output
While AI can already generate up to half of the code in software development, design remains a bottleneck. This is where Flowstep comes in: The platform combines large language models (LLMs), reinforcement learning, computer vision and a flexible canvas system to generate wireframes, user flows and pixel-perfect designs from simple prompts. This also includes manual editing options.
Instead of adapting to tools, Flowstep allows teams to design in their natural way of thinking.
Matt Clannachan, Co-Founder and CEO Flowstep
The platform aims to accelerate the ideation and prototyping phase by a factor of ten, without compromising on quality or user experience.
Positioning beyond classic automation
Flowstep does not see itself as a pure automation tool, but as a creative assistance platform. The platform's understanding of design is based on the existing workflows of product teams in order to enable high-quality, non-generic interfaces - particularly relevant for design studios, start-ups and product companies.
International expansion and team expansion planned
The seed round will be used to expand the engineering and product teams, develop governance and compliance functions and for a focused go-to-market strategy in the USA, among other things. The first enterprise customers are already in talks.
Flowstep is an ideal fit with our investment focus on creative AI tools
Mike Sackler, Supernode Global
Viktoras Jucikas from Iron Wolf Capital adds:"The team has rare clarity and product focus - we believe Flowstep will help shape UI design in the coming years."
Flowstep was founded in 2023 and currently employs eight people with experience from Bolt, Revolut and previous start-ups, among others. The focus is currently on scaling the product and further developing the AI models.
