Bikebeat closes financing round

The start-up, founded in 2018, receives mid-six-figure funding
The Frankfurt-based start-up Bikebeat has raised a six-figure sum in a financing round. The exact amount is not known. The money comes from Beteiligungs-Managementgesellschaft Hessen, among others.
Bikebeat was founded in 2018. According to its own information, the start-up produces sustainably in Germany and sells carbon bicycle rims for the cycling and e-bike market. For production, it relies on an Airbus patent from aerospace technology, which it has adapted for its own purposes with the help of test riders. "By using and further developing the Airbus patent, we are able to weave carbon uniquely by machine and thus develop high-tech carbon wheelsets at the highest level," explains co-partner and Managing Director Jan Henning.
The start-up intends to use the money it has now raised primarily to hire additional employees and expand its sales and product range. Bikebeat also wants to expand its market position in Europe. "We see good sales prospects for innovative and high-quality carbon wheels with the "Made in Germany" label," says Jürgen ten Elsen from Beteiligungs-Managementgesellschaft Hessen, explaining the investment decision.
