This comprises around 400 million US dollars and is said to be the largest seed-stage fund in Europe.

The venture capital firm 468 Capital, based in Berlin and San Francisco, has set up its second fund with capital commitments of around 400 million dollars. According to the company, this is currently the largest European fund dedicated to the seed stage. The predecessor "Fund I" amounted to 200 million US dollars.

With "Fund II", 468 Capital wants to invest in companies with global ambitions in Europe and the United States. The fund is dedicated to technologies that are available quickly and are intended to be sustainable. The focus is on companies that concentrate on artificial intelligence and automation, software, marketplaces and consumers. The company is also concentrating on open source software and the quick commerce sector with the fund: 468 Capital recently invested in the instant delivery services Arive and Mayd, according to Startbase reported.

"The number of machine learning experiments being conducted globally is growing exponentially and the need for a software stack that serves engineers and researchers is more pressing than ever," said Florian Leibert, Managing Partner at 468 Capital. "With this latest fund, we are very focused on a number of emerging areas, including MLOps." MLOps stands for "Machine Learning Operations".

468 Capital was founded in 2020 by Alexander Kudlich, Ludwig Ensthaler and Florian Leibert. They had previously gained experience at technology companies such as HelloFresh, FoodPanda and Mesosphere. The 468 Capital investment team also includes partners Philipp Seifert, who was previously at Sapphire Ventures and Goldman Sachs, and Bernhard Janke, previously at LEA Partners and GFC. The company has raised a total of 1.3 billion dollars since its foundation. It has invested in over 50 companies, including the Razor Group, Zapp, Arive, Vectornator, Superchat and Rapid Robotics.
