Burda Principal Investments leads €5.9 million financing round for voucher app Neotaste, which enables restaurants to offer exclusive deals via B2C platform.

Osnabrück, Germany - Burda Principal Investments (BPI), the growth capital arm of Hubert Burda Media, has led the latest round of funding for voucher app company Neotaste. Neotaste enables restaurants to offer exclusive deals via its B2C platform, giving users the opportunity to discover new places. A total of €5.9 million was raised in this Series A round, with existing investors such as Kajetan Uhlig, founder of Userlane, and Niklas Plath and Christopher Huesmann, co-founders of Flaschenpost and current CEOs, also participating.

We are very proud to have won BPI as lead investor for our latest financing round. It is a very good sign for us to have such a renowned and respected investor already at this early stage of our journey.

Hendrik Sander, Co-Founder of Neotaste

Neotaste expands BPI's portfolio, which focuses on high-growth digital platforms for consumers and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The app is based on direct interaction between consumers and restaurants, with a subscription model giving more than 300,000 users access to exclusive deals from over 1,300 restaurants in thirteen German cities.

Neotaste's long-term plans include expansion into other German cities and international markets. The startup also plans to add additional products and services to its platform in order to diversify its offering.

Together with their lean team, the two founders have developed an attractive product. The platform is highly appreciated by consumers and restaurants.

Friedrich von Wulffen, Investment Manager at BPI

The participation of well-known investors such as BPI and existing supporters underlines the potential of Neotaste in the area of voucher apps and gastronomic offers. The app has already built up a significant user base and is helping restaurants to increase their visibility and attract new diners.

It remains to be seen how Neotaste implements its expansion plans and whether it will succeed in the highly competitive voucher app industry. The company's ability to create attractive offers and maintain a user-friendly platform will be crucial to gaining user attention and long-term success.
