Avi Medical raises 50 million euros

Relieving doctors of administrative tasks and making patients happier - that is what Healthtech wants to achieve. Now the British investor Balderton Capital is getting on board.
The Munich-based start-up Avi Medical receives 50 million euros in its Series B financing round. British investor Balderton Capital is leading the round. Existing investors Heal Capital, New York-based investor Addition, Picus Capital, Vorwerk Ventures, Eurazeo and 3VC are also participating in the round. Uipath founder Daniel Dines and Forward Health founder Adrian Auon are also involved.
Vlad Lata, Christoph Baumeister and Julian Kley founded the start-up in 2020 with the vision of digitizing medical practices. Digital questionnaires and video consultations, for example, are intended to help with this. An automatic booking system adapts doctors' appointments to patients' needs and provides doctors with patient data. According to the company, this gives doctors around 20 percent more time for their patients.
Avi Medical intends to use the new capital to expand further in Germany, but also in other European countries. There are currently eight practices in Germany. Over the next three years, the start-up wants to grow to 100 GP practices. Rural areas in particular are to be better served.
