Consulting firm launches start-up competition

The Global EnergyTech Awards are looking for start-ups that are committed to the digital transformation of the energy sector. The competition is organized by Publicis Sapient.

Start-ups can apply for the Global EnergyTech Awards until September 30, 2022. This is the second time that the consulting firm Publicis Sapient has launched the competition. The consulting firm wants to recognize start-ups that deliver transformative technology solutions for the energy industry and make a positive contribution to society, the economy and the environment. The winners will be honored in a total of seven categories, such as "Best Smart City Solution" or "Best Solution Energy Trading".

"There is an increasing need for energy companies to work with innovators to develop the skills and technologies they need to achieve global net zero targets," says Joe Tabita, Energy Lead for the EMEA and APAC region at consultancy Publicis Sapient.

Last year, the award went to Solytic, a start-up from Germany, and Virtual Global Trading AG from Switzerland, among others. The consulting firm will announce the winner of this year's award in November. Among other things, the winners can look forward to a place in the Start-up Corner at VivaTech 2023, the largest start-up and tech event in Europe, according to the company. The winners will also receive personal support.
