Consulting firm launches start-up competition

The Global EnergyTech Awards are looking for start-ups that are committed to the digital transformation of the energy industry. The competition is organized by Publicis Sapient.

Start-ups can apply for the Global EnergyTech Awards until September 30, 2022. This is the second time that consulting firm Publicis Sapient is calling for entries to the competition. The consultancy aims to recognize startups that deliver transformative technology solutions for the energy industry and make a positive contribution to society, the economy and the environment. In total, winners will be recognized in seven categories, such as "Best Smart City Solution" or "Best Solution Energy Trading."

"There is a growing need for energy companies to work with innovators to build the capabilities and technologies they need to achieve global net-zero goals," said Joe Tabita, Energy Lead for the EMEA and APAC regions at consulting firm Publicis Sapient.

Last year, the award went to Solytic, a startup from Germany, and Virtual Global Trading AG from Switzerland, among others. The consulting firm will announce the winner of this year's award in November. Among other things, the winners will receive a place in the Start-up Corner at VivaTech 2023, which the company says is the largest start-up and tech event in Europe. In addition, the winners will receive personal support.
