Billwerk takes over Sofacto

The company only acquired the Copenhagen-based provider Reepay in November 2021.
The Billwerk Group, based in Frankfurt am Main, has announced the acquisition of French company Sofacto. Both offer software solutions for subscription management and recurring billing. The acquisition is intended to complement Billwerk's offering with the Salesforce ecosystem that Sofacto brings to the table. The start-up does not wish to disclose how much money was involved in the transaction.
Billwerk has set itself the goal of becoming the European market leader for business models with recurring payments. As recently as November 2021, the group acquired the Copenhagen-based company Reepay, which has customers in Scandinavia. Sofacto is currently mainly active in France, Billwerk in the German-speaking region. The CEO of Sofacto, Frederi Scotto, will continue to manage the company and work together with Ricco Deutscher, CEO of the Billwerk Group.
Billwerk was founded in 2015 and employs almost 70 people at its headquarters in Frankfurt am Main and its branches in Minsk, Belarus and Gdansk in Poland. According to the company, its customers include several hundred SMEs and start-ups. As a winner of the "Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Award", the company is one of the 30 fastest growing tech companies in Germany.
