Cognigy raises US$15 million

DTCP's investment increases the Series B financing round to 59 million US dollars.
The software start-up Cognigy receives 15 million US dollars from Hamburg-based investor DTCP. This brings the Series B financing round to a total of 59 million US dollars. Insight Partners, DN Capital, Global Brain, Nordic Makers and Inventures had previously invested in the start-up. "Closing the expanded round with DTCP's investment is another big step forward as we expand our activities in Europe, North America and Asia and support a growing network of partners and strategic alliances," says Philipp Heltewig, CEO and co-founder.
Heltewig and Sascha Poggemann founded Cognigy in 2016. The company's customers now include Biontech, Lufthansa, Bosch and Daimler. With Cognigy AI, the company has developed a conversational AI platform for the creation of voice and chatbots for customer service. With this platform, even people without a technical background can create virtual agents and offer them in over 100 languages. This should enable companies to improve their service quality and reduce operating costs.
