Damien Perillat becomes CCO at Billie

The former Paypal manager joins the management team to drive forward the upcoming internationalization in Austria and Northern Europe.

Damien Perillat is the new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at the "Buy Now, Pay Later" provider Billie. Previously, Perillat was Senior Vice President Digital Commerce at the French payment and transaction service provider Worldline. Prior to that, Perillat spent almost twelve years in various management positions at payment service provider PayPal, including Managing Director for Western and Southern Europe and Country Manager for France.

The former PayPal manager will now support Billie with internationalization in Austria and Northern European countries. "He has impressively proven that he understands how to roll out disruptive payment offerings in core European markets like no other," says Aiga Senftleben, co-founder and Managing Director of Billie. "His expertise is exactly what we need for our further internationalization."

Founded in 2016 by Senftleben, Christian Grobe and Matthias Knecht, the start-up offers the "Buy Now, Pay Later" payment method. It allows customers to buy goods immediately and pay later. The start-up is based in Berlin and claims to employ 200 people. Its investors include Dawn Capital, Creandum, Picus and SpeedInvest.
