Damien Perillat becomes CCO at Billie

Damien Perillat becomes the new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at "Buy Now, Pay Later" provider Billie. Previously, Perillat was senior vice president digital commerce at French payment and transaction services provider Worldline. Prior to that, Perillat spent almost twelve years in various management positions at payment service provider PayPal, including Managing Director for Western and Southern Europe and Country Manager for France.
Now the former Paypal manager is to support Billie in its internationalization in Austria and northern European countries. "He has impressively proven that he knows how to roll out disruptive payment offerings in core European markets like no other," says Aiga Senftleben, co-founder and managing director of Billie. "His expertise is exactly what we need as we continue to internationalize."
Founded in 2016 by Senftleben, Christian Grobe and Matthias Knecht, the startup offers a payment method called "Buy Now, Pay Later." It allows customers to buy goods immediately and pay later. The startup is based in Berlin and says it employs 200 people. Investors include Dawn Capital, Creandum, Picus and SpeedInvest.
