Former national basketball player takes over Vaha

Vadim Fedotov, founder of Bioniq, wants to integrate the fitness start-up into his platform's offering.
Former national basketball player Vadim Fedotov and the nutritional supplement start-up Bioniq, which he founded, are taking over Vaha. Founded in 2019, the fitness start-up offers an interactive fitness mirror. As a virtual personal trainer, it uses artificial intelligence to stream training programs from a selection of over 2,000 workouts into your living room. Founder Valerie Bures, who also founded the fitness chain for women Mrs. Sporty, developed the exercises with scientists, doctors and IT experts. She remains a board member and shareholder in the company.
Vaha's offerings will now also be available on the company's platform. Fedotov's start-up is currently active in eight countries and plans to expand into four more by the end of next year, including the USA. Bioniq's investors include Porsche Ventures, Unbound Ventures and TQ Ventures. The goalkeeper of the German national soccer team Manuel Neuer is also a shareholder in Vaha.
"Health has many determining factors, one of the most important being daily activity," says Fedotov. "This is a glimpse into the future of personalized health in the form of customized wellness solutions and fitness for the home."
