The benefits and compensation platform aims to make salary packages more individual. It has now received around half a million euros.

The start-up Emplu raises around half a million euros in its pre-seed round. Ingo Weber (founder of FAS Wirtschaftsprüfung), Andreas Schranzhofer (CTO at Scalable Capital), Jan Dzulko (co-founder and CEO of Everphone), Marc Müller, Sophie Glusac, Thomas Perlitz and Carsten Thies are investing in the company.

Anika Brunner founded the start-up in 2021. The founder wants to enable companies to pay their employees individual salary packages. Employees will be able to select and manage their benefits themselves via a platform. Brunner believes that salary packages have not been flexible enough so far. "I am convinced that New Work needs New Pay. We live in a working world in which flexibility and freedom play a central role," says the founder. The start-up has been receiving strategic and operational support from HR specialist VC Allygatr since 2021.

The company intends to use the capital raised to expand its key account management and customer service areas. Further functions are also to be added to the platform so that the app can be launched soon.
