Exmox sold for 100 million euros

The Hamburg-based adtech company Exmox is being acquired by the Aonic Group for 100 million euros. This is a Swedish video games group that was only founded at the beginning of 2022 and has been on a takeover course ever since.

Since the beginning of the year, Aonic has already acquired the companies Tutotoons and Addapptr, as Golem reported. Tutotoons develops games for children aged between three and twelve, while Addapptr is also an adtech company based in Hamburg. Aonic now wants to expand its portfolio with Exmox. Founded in 2015 by Alper Eger and, according to German Startups without venture capital, aims to support mobile game studios with data-based campaigns to attract users. Exmox owns the services Empfohlen.de and Testerheld.
