Getsafe appoints new chief human resources and product officer

Sarina Hergarten joins from Trade Republic and becomes Head of HR, Adrian Pica moves from Bolt and becomes the new Head of Product.

The digital insurer Getsafe is expanding its management team. Sarina Hergarten joins as Head of HR and Adiran Pica takes on the role of Head of Product. With this expansion of the management level, the start-up, which was founded in 2015, wants to be equipped for further growth phases.

Both new managers already have experience in the start-up sector. Hergarten previously worked in HR at neobroker Trade Republic and logistics company Sennder. Pica, on the other hand, was most recently Vice President of Product at the Estonian mobility service Bolt. "We are therefore delighted to have gained two managers in Sarina and Adrian who are familiar with the challenges of a growing tech organization and have already mastered them in the past," says CEO and founder Christian Wiens.

Getsafe is a digital insurance provider. Using chatbots and automation, customers can report claims, change their insurance cover and clarify issues on its own platform. Getsafe claims to serve 400,000 customers and is licensed by the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority. After expanding to the UK in 2020, the start-up is now planning to enter other European markets.
