Getsafe appoints new chief human resources and product officer

Sarina Hergarten joins from Trade Republic and becomes Head of Human Resources, Adrian Pica moves from Bolt and becomes new Head of Product.

Digital insurer Getsafe is expanding its management team. Sarina Hergarten joins as head of human resources and Adiran Pica takes on the role of head of product. With this expansion of the management level, the start-up, founded in 2015, wants to be prepared for further growth phases.

Both new managers already have experience in the start-up sector. Hergarten previously worked in HR at neobroker Trade Republic and logistics company Sennder. Pica, on the other hand, was most recently vice president of product at Estonian mobility service Bolt. "We are therefore very pleased that with Sarina and Adrian we were able to attract two executives who know the challenge of a growing tech organization and have already mastered it in the past," says CEO and founder Christian Wiens.

Getsafe is a digital insurance provider. Through chatbots and automation, customers can use its own platform to report claims, change insurance coverage and resolve concerns, among other things. Getsafe says it serves 400,000 customers and is licensed by the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority. After expanding to the UK in 2020, the start-up is now planning to enter other European markets.
