Halitus receives 1 million euros pre-seed

With almost one million euros raised, the Berlin-based healthtech start-up plans to further develop its diagnostic devices for breathing air, train the algorithm and conduct initial clinical tests in collaboration with partner clinics.
Berlin - Halitus, a Berlin-based healthtech startup, has successfully completed a pre-seed financing round and was able to attract Nikolas Weber, Oliver Diekmann and Christoph Behn from better ventures as investors. The startup was able to raise almost one million euros in this round. Angels4Health, OKG Capital and Infinite Digital also invested in the company.
The funds from the financing round will be used to drive forward the development of diagnostic devices for breathing air. The algorithm will be further trained and initial clinical tests will be carried out in collaboration with partner clinics.
With the successfully completed financing round, we can further develop our AI-supported analysis tool and have the first clinical tests carried out. Both are essential for the quality of our measuring devices
Dr. Sven Jungmann, co-founder of Halitus
Halitus was founded in 2021 by Dr. Sven Jungmann, a medical doctor, Dr. Sergey Davydov, an engineer, Matt Grimot, a mathematician, and Sergey Repenko, an economist. In 2022, the company won the digital health award from Novartis Germany.
The healthtech start-up is developing an AI-supported analysis tool that uses laser technology and machine learning to quickly and easily detect disease-relevant biomarkers in the air we breathe. The device is small and portable and will be able to be used in clinics, surgeries and other locations such as airports, mass events and pharmacies. In the long term, the company plans to offer a SaaS solution that provides AI-driven interpretation and decision support for doctors. This should enable simple and fast diagnostics. The device also has potential applications in clinical research.
In future, medical practices will be able to make faster and better diagnostic decisions thanks to Halitus - and this will be based solely on the air we breathe
Tina Dreimann, co-founder of better ventures
Halitus analyzes the smallest molecules in the air we breathe to gain insights into processes in the human body. This has applications in disease detection, precision medicine and medical research. The company has well-known investors and already won the Digital Health Award in 2021. Its vision is to enable fast and uncomplicated disease detection directly at the point of care.
