Helrom agrees 34.5 million euros in loan financing

Helrom has successfully closed a loan financing with Societe Generale and DAL Deutsche Anlagen-Leasing to underline its growth and its role in the decarbonization of rail freight supply chains.

Helrom, a rail freight transportation and technology company, has successfully closed a EUR 34.5 million loan financing. Deutsche Leasing Finance and Société Générale each share half of the financing, which was structured by DAL Deutsche Anlagen-Leasing. The transaction is designed as asset-based finance and serves as a platform for Helrom's future financing initiatives.

With its "Net Zero Transport" mission, Helrom is a key customer for DAL for innovative asset finance solutions in the transportation and logistics sector - a mission that also makes an important contribution to the transport transition.

Both financing partners have extensive experience in the rail sector. Société Générale has expertise in the logistics sector and thus strengthens the cooperation with Helrom. Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport provided early support

In February, Helrom received 15 million euros in support from the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport for the market launch of the Helrom trailer wagon. The Ministry's "Future Rail Freight Transport" program aims to promote technological innovations that have the potential to improve the economic efficiency, performance, flexibility and logistics capabilities of rail freight transport in Germany.
