Hepster cooperates with Bikefinder

The start-ups' solutions complement each other well: Bikefinder's tracking device can locate bikes, while Hepster insures the bike and is liable in the event of theft.
The Rostock-based insurance start-up Hepster has entered into a partnership with Bikefinder. The Scandinavian company chose Hepster as its exclusive insurance partner when it entered the German and Austrian markets.
Bikefinder offers a tracking device with a long battery life that can be integrated into bicycles. Bicycle owners can attach the device to their bikes by paying a monthly subscription. The tracking system can also be optionally combined with theft protection. Bikefinder works together with insurance providers in the existing markets in Scandinavia, Spain and the UK. For Germany and Austria, Hepster is now taking over the insurance cover and is liable in the event of damage. Founded in 2016, the insurtech company offers customized solutions in the areas of mobility, electronics, equipment, travel, pet and accident insurance.
"The cooperation between BikeFinder and hepster represents another milestone for us in the field of IoT - 'Internet of Things' - and mobility solutions - the combination of hardware, software and demand-oriented service offerings," says hepster co-founder Alexander Hornung. "With BikeFinder, we are demonstrating exactly what hepster set out to do on the market six years ago: situational insurance solutions that are flexibly and precisely integrated into the BikeFinder customer experience and are available to customers at every point of sale."
