By merging with its French partner, the Cologne-based start-up is now expanding into France and Denmark.

The French Karos Group is taking over the German carpooling app Goflux. Both companies want to connect commuters with each other so that they can form carpools. By merging with its partner, Goflux is now expanding into France and Denmark.

Founded in 2019, the start-up Goflux has developed an app for carpooling. A matching algorithm determines a suitable meeting point for drivers and passengers and navigates them both there based on Google Maps. Billing and digital payment for the journeys are also integrated into the app. The start-up claims that users could save an average of 97 euros per month. Goflux has also been represented in the Netherlands since April of this year.

"We are delighted to be working with Karos and to benefit from a proven AI-supported technology," says founder and CEO of Goflux Mobility, Wolfram Uerlich. "Together we will change the mobility market in Germany, France and other European countries." Both companies plan to launch their services in four new countries by the end of 2024.
