The Munich-based start-up Presize wants to help customers find the right size when shopping online. According to media reports, the provider is now withdrawing from its current business. It is to continue with a new business model.

Co-founder Leon Szeli told Textilwirtschaft that Presize, the start-up known from the German TV show Höhle der Löwen, will be discontinuing its B2B business at the end of March. However, the well-known investors Carsten Maschmeyer, Chris Brenninkmeyer and ex-Hermès boss Christina Rosenberg are apparently staying on board. However, it is unclear how many of the employees will continue to work at Presize.

"We are changing our business model and plan to no longer offer our technology directly to B2B partners," says Szeli to Textilwirtschaft. The start-up intends to announce exactly what the restructuring of the business model will look like at a later date. According to the company, the restructuring of the business model would not be due to a lack of financial resources.

Szeli founded Presize with Tomislav Tomov and Awais Shafique in 2019. The founders have developed software that uses a cell phone camera to determine customers' body measurements. Users can use Presize to find the right size when shopping online. This is intended to reduce the high number of returns. The start-up carried out a study with the online store Krüger and was able to prove that using the tool reduced the returns rate by 3.3 percent.
