The Hamburg-based start-up can expand its Series A financing once again. Money comes from the European Super Angels Club (ESAC).

In summer 2020, Sponsoo already received money in a Series A financing from the European Super Angels Club (ESAC). The supporters have now increased their investment by another six-figure sum. The company intends to use this to continue its expansion into other markets such as Spain.

Sponsoo connects athletes and sponsors, who can conclude contracts online. The industry is also successful during the coronavirus pandemic: "Sport acts as a beacon of hope and a mood booster during the coronavirus crisis. It stands for a healthy lifestyle and gives people courage in these difficult times. Sponsorship in sport is therefore linked to emotion in a unique way," says CEO Andreas Kitzing. Sponsoo was also able to increase its sales in 2020.

"Sponsors previously had no online platform for concluding contracts, but the pandemic has encouraged digitalization in this market too. Sponsoo has seized this opportunity perfectly and gained important market shares," says Berthold Baurek-Karlic, President of the ESAC, explaining his investment.
