More money for Sponsoo

The Hamburg-based start-up can once again expand its Series A financing. Money comes from the European Super Angels Club (ESAC).
In the summer of 2020, Sponsoo already got money in a Series A funding from the European Super Angels Club (ESAC). Now the backers have increased their participation once again by a six-figure amount. With this, the company is looking to expand further into other markets such as Spain.
Sponsoo connects athletes and sponsors, online they can sign contracts. The industry has been successful even during the Corona pandemic: "Sport acts as a beacon of hope and a "mood booster" during the Corona crisis. It stands for a healthy lifestyle and gives people courage during this difficult time. Sponsorship in sport is therefore uniquely linked to emotion," says CEO Andreas Kitzing. Sponsoo was also able to increase its sales in 2020.
"Sponsors did not have an online platform to conclude contracts until now, however, the pandemic has favoured digitalisation in this market as well. Sponsoo has perfectly seized this opportunity and gained important market share," Berthold Baurek-Karlic, President of ESAC, explains his investment.
