The B2B payment service provider Mondu is expanding its Series A financing round by 13 million US dollars. Valar Ventures and FinTech Collective are leading the expansion. This brings the total Series A to 56 million US dollars. Mondu intends to use the fresh capital to continue its international expansion and develop new products. This includes an omnichannel solution, for example.
The aim is to continue on the current course. At the beginning of 2022, Mondu launched a Buy Now, Pay Later solution and entered the Austrian and Dutch markets. After Berlin, it opened its second office in Amsterdam.
Since Malte Huffmann, Philipp Povel and Gil Danziger founded the start-up in October 2021, it has grown continuously. Mondu now has 140 employees. At the beginning of 2022 there were 20.
Since its foundation, Mondu has secured a total of 90 million US dollars in equity and debt financing. The company wants to offer B2B customers payment methods that are as flexible as those in the B2C market. According to the company, "thousands" of companies already use Mondu's services.
