New investments for SciFlow

The Berlin-based start-up wants to make it easier for students and researchers to format their publications automatically. Now Lehmann Media and Books on Demand are coming on board as partners and investors.
The online text editor SciFlow is entering into two new partnerships: Books on Demand (BoD) and specialist bookseller Lehmanns Media are now taking a stake in the Berlin-based start-up. This expands the circle of shareholders to include the two investment companies, which are coming on board as partners and investors.
"With Lehmanns Media and BoD, SciFlow has gained two excellently networked partners from the industry who are interested in the long-term development of SciFlow," says co-founder Carsten Borchert.
SciFlow offers researchers and students ready-made templates that take care of formatting or spell-checking. The documents can be worked on alone or together. Universities and research institutions also offer SciFlow.
Lehmann Media has obviously been convinced: "We see our involvement in the wider context of the changing publication landscape. For libraries and research institutions, author-centric tools are important contributions to making the publication process as simple as possible for researchers and students," says Managing Director Detlef Büttner.
