New investments for SciFlow

The Berlin-based start-up wants to make it easier for students and researchers to format their publications automatically. Now Lehmann Media and Books on Demand are coming on board as partners and investors.

The online text editor SciFlow is entering into two new partnerships: Books on Demand (BoD) and the specialist bookseller Lehmanns Media are now participating in the Berlin start-up. This also expands the circle of shareholders with the two investment companies coming on board as partners and investors.

"With Lehmanns Media and BoD, SciFlow gains two excellently networked partners from the industry who are interested in the long-term further development of SciFlow," says co-founder Carsten Borchert.

SciFlow offers researchers and students ready-made templates that take care of formatting or check spelling. Documents can be worked in alone or collaboratively. Universities and research institutions also offer SciFlow.

Lehmann Media is apparently convinced: "We see our participation in the larger context of the changing publishing landscape. For libraries and research institutions, author-centric tools are important contributions to making the publication process as easy as possible for researchers and students," says CEO Detlef Büttner.
