Mynaric has so far scored with the production of optical communication terminals for aerospace. Now it has a new financial backer.

L3Harris will be the new strategic investor for Mynaric, an agreement was signed today by both companies. This is intended to secure future cooperation in aviation and extend it to all areas - space, air, sea and ground. L3Harris is investing 11.2 million euros in Mynaric. This will enable the acquisition of around 400,000 new bearer shares in Mynaric at a price of EUR 27.37 per share. As a result of the investment, L3Harris now owns 7.2 percent of Mynaric's total shares.

Commenting on the upcoming collaboration, Bulent Altan, CEO of Mynaric, said: "We are very pleased that L3Harris, a global leader in the aerospace and defense industry with excellent customer relationships, has decided to make this strategic investment in Mynaric."

Daniel Gittsovich, Vice President, Corporate Strategy and Development at L3Harris is also delighted with the new partner: "Our strategy is to disrupt the traditional, lengthy development and procurement processes; Mynaric will be an excellent partner to quickly meet our customers' needs for high data bandwidth and secure connectivity."
